Es ist ein fast schon gespenstisch sch\u00f6ner Ort, der geeignet ist die Fantasie anzuregen. Zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahmen war gerade Ebbe deshalb war die Burginsel nicht v\u00f6llig vom Wasser umsp\u00fclt.\u00a0<strong>Loch Alsh<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Loch Long<\/strong>\u00a0und\u00a0<strong>Loch Duich <\/strong>sind zum Atlantik hin offen, weshalb die Wirkung der Gezeiten hier deutlich sichtbar ist. Hier soll sich auch der Schottische Nationalheld Robert the Bruce vor den Engl\u00e4ndern versteckt haben. Im Jahr 1719 wurde die Burg durch englische Fregatten zerst\u00f6rt, als sie von Spaniern als Garnison genutzt wurde. Der Wiederaufbau wurde in den Jahren von 1912 bis 1932 durchgef\u00fchrt.
