Jahrhundert von der Familie de Vaux erbaut. Die Familie stammte urspr\u00fcnglich aus Rouen in der Normadie, zog aber w\u00e4hrend der Eroberungen durch die Normannen nach Britannien. Im sp\u00e4ten 13. und fr\u00fchen 14. Jahrhunderts, w\u00e4hrend der Unabh\u00e4ngigkeitskriege mit England, wechselte das Schloss mehrfach den Besitzer. W\u00e4hrend der folgenden 300 Jahre wurde es mehrfach umgebaut und erweitert. Die Schlossg\u00e4rten wurden erstmals im 16.
