Dass man sie hier auf freier Wildbahn mit einem halbwegs leistungsf\u00e4higem Teleobjektiv fotografieren kann, ist etwas, was man sonst nirgendwo in Deutschland geboten bekommt. Die M\u00e4nnchen werden bis zu 230 cm gro\u00df und erreichen ein Gewicht von 220 kg, in Ausnahmef\u00e4llen bis 300 kg; Weibchen sind ca. 180 cm gro\u00df und wiegen um 150 kg.
