Bei der katholischen Pfarrkirche Mari\u00e4 Himmelfahrt handelt es sich um eine ehemalige Wehrkirche. Sie war mit Festungsmauern umgeben, um in fr\u00fcherer Zeit den Menschen im Dorf im Falle eines \u00dcberfalls Zuflucht zu bieten. Teile dieser Wehrmauern sind noch erhalten (siehe Bild unterhalb). Im Jahr 1184 wurde das Vorg\u00e4ngergeb\u00e4ude erstmals urkundlich erw\u00e4hnt, als Pfarrkirche erstmal im Jahr 1255. Der Sp\u00e4tgotische Chor wurde um 1450 errichtet und das barocke Landhaus stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.<\/p>\n

Sehr sch\u00f6n ist der hinter der Kirche gelegene denkmalgesch\u00fctzte Kirchhof\/Friedhof mit seinen gr\u00fcnderzeitlichen Grabdenkm\u00e4lern und Denkm\u00e4lern der Kriege 1870\/71, 1914-18 und 1939-45.<\/p>\n
