Die Gemeinde mit 800 Einwohnern ist aber weit \u00fcber die Region bekannt, weil sie als das sch\u00f6nste Dorf in <strong>Rheinland-Pfalz<\/strong> gilt. Dieses Pr\u00e4dikat stimmt wirklich, denn mit seinen zwei Burgruinen, der <strong>L\u00f6wenburg<\/strong> und der <strong>Philippsburg<\/strong>, dem <strong>Elzbach<\/strong>, der mitten durch das Dorf flie\u00dft, und nicht zuletzt wegen seiner vielen gepflegten Fachwerkh\u00e4user hat sich Monreal zu einem beliebten Fremdenverkehrsort entwickelt.<\/p>\n<p><em>Die Phillipsburg war leider einger\u00fcstet, als ich diese Aufnahmen gemacht habe.
