Der <strong>Dom St. Martin<\/strong> wurde um das Jahr 1000 unter Erzbischof Williges errichtet. Er ist das weithin bekannteste Wahrzeichen der Stadt Mainz und damit der gesamten Region. In der langen Zeit seines Bestehens hat er etliche Teilzerst\u00f6rungen und Wiederaufbauten sowie Umbauten erfahren, so dass sich in seiner Bausubstanz verschiedene Stilrichtungen wiederfinden.
