Im Jahr 1987 wurde mit wissenschaftlichen Ausgrabungen begonnen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass hier eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften r\u00f6mischen Villenanlagen des Saar-Mosel-Gebietes verborgen lag. 1994 wurde der Beschluss gefasst diese Villenanlage entsprechend den gefundenen Fragmenten und den Erkenntnissen der aktuelle Villenforschung wieder aufzubauen.<\/p>\n<p>Derzeit sind das Herrenhaus, die Badeanlage, Wohn- und Wirtschaftsr\u00e4ume, der Innenhof, das Torhaus, eine r\u00f6mische K\u00fcche und eine Taverne so vorbildgetreu wie m\u00f6glich entstanden. Die Grabungen gehen weiter und es werden auch in Zukunft noch weitere Geb\u00e4ude wiederauferstehen. Das Herrenhaus wird\u00a0heute f\u00fcr Kunstausstellungen genutzt.<\/p>\n<p>In der Taverne gibt es u.a. Speisen die wie zu r\u00f6mischer Zeit zubereitet sind, ein ganz neues Geschmackserlebnis.
