Im Jahr 1711 wurde\u00a0ein barockes Schloss erbaut, welches 1792 schwer besch\u00e4digt wurde. Auf den Ruinen entstand nach Pl\u00e4nen des Mannheimer Architekten Jakob Friedrich Dyckerhoff\u00a0das noch heute vorhandene Schloss im Empirischen Stil das im Jahr 1840 noch einmal Ver\u00e4nderungen erfuhr.
