Es liegt zwischen den beiden Gro\u00dfst\u00e4dten <strong>Aberdeen<\/strong> und <strong>Dundee<\/strong>, etwa 20 km von der Nordsee entfernt. <strong>Glamis Castle<\/strong>\u00a0ist Wohnsitz des\u00a0Earls und der Countess of Strathmore, die es der \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich gemacht haben. Zu besichtigen ist es w\u00e4hrend der Sommermonate. Im diesem Schloss hat\u00a0Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, bekannt als \u201eQueen Mum\u201c ihre Kindheit verbracht und Prinzessin Margarete, die Schwester von K\u00f6nigin Elisabeth II wurde 1930 hier geboren.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21678\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21678\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/georg-dahlhoff.de\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/201403232563.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-21678\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/georg-dahlhoff.de\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/201403232563.jpg?resize=580%2C388&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Tor von Glamis Castle - Bild Nr. 201403232563\" width=\"580\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-21678\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tor von Glamis Castle &#8211; Bild Nr. 201403232563<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bei meinem Besuch des Schlosses im M\u00e4rz stand ich zun\u00e4chst einmal vor einem verschlossenen Tor, und konnte das pr\u00e4chtige Schloss, am Ende der endlos erscheinenden Auffahrt nur in weiter Ferne sehen.
