Die au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche atemberaubende Lage dieses Castles ist wohl die spektakul\u00e4rste in ganz Schottland. Die verschiedenen Geb\u00e4ude der Ruine wurden im 14. bis 16. Jahrhundert erbaut. Es wird aber davon ausgegangen, dass der Felsen schon viel fr\u00fcher bebaut war, z.B. gab es im 5. Jahrhunderts eine Kapelle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Um zur Burg zu gelangen, f\u00fchrt eine lange Treppe den Felsen gegen\u00fcber des Burgfelsen hinunter. Der Weg geht dann durch ein flaches Tal und dann wieder hinauf zum einzigen Zugang zur Festung. Auch hier sind wieder einige Treppen zu \u00fcberwinden.
