So war das Geb\u00e4ude zun\u00e4chst als <strong>BfG-Hochhaus<\/strong> bekannt. Nachdem die BfG in ein neues Hochhaus umgezogen war, bezog im Jahr 1994 das <strong>Europ\u00e4ische W\u00e4hrungsinstitut<\/strong>, aus der 1998 die Europ\u00e4ische Zentralbank hervorging, das Geb\u00e4ude. Da die Nutzfl\u00e4che des Geb\u00e4udes f\u00fcr die EZB nicht mehr ausreicht, wurde im Jahr 2002 die Errichtung eines Neubaus beschlossen, der seit 2010 auf dem Gel\u00e4nde der ehemaligen Gro\u00dfmarkthallen (<a title=\"Google Maps: Standort EZB-Neubau\" href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/QBu5v\" target=\"_blank\">Landkarte<\/a>) errichtet wird.
