Die z.Zt. 40 Geb\u00e4ude im Freilichtmuseum stammen aus den Regionen Rheinhessen-Pfalz, Mosel-Eifel, Hunsr\u00fcck-Nahe, und Mittelrhein-Westerwald, und wurden seit den 1970er Jahren an ihren urspr\u00fcnglichen Standorten Stein f\u00fcr Stein und Balken f\u00fcr Balken zerlegt und hier originalgetreu wieder aufgebaut. Jedes Jahr kommen ca. 4 weitere Geb\u00e4ude hinzu.<\/p>\n<p>Das Freilichtmuseum liegt malerisch am Rande des Soonwaldes und bietet neben den interessanten Geb\u00e4uden und Geh\u00f6ften mit ihren Inneneinrichtungen auch weitl\u00e4ufige Wiesen, Weiden mit Nutztieren, sowie Hausg\u00e4rten und vieles mehr.
